Adjustable pivoting brackets for rail or tube mounts
Attach the brackets to your panel using 3M VHB™ (very high bond) tape. The tube clamps open for mounting and provide a very strong grip on the rail tube, withstanding most wave and wind motion. The clamp position can be adjusted along the sliding stay as required. For extra stability one or two crossbars (see below) can optionally be fitted between brackets. The material is sturdy anodized marine aluminum. Made by NOA in Sweden. Length 25 5/8" (650mm), width 1 1/2" (38mm), depth of stay 1/2" (13mm), except at clamp position which protrudes about 3" (76mm). The standard clamp fits a 25mm metric tube and usually also accomodates a 1" (25.4mm) tube. You can if necessary enlarge the opening with a 1" drill bit, or we can do it for you. Crossbar support rail
The crossbar support can be attached to your panel using 3M VHB™ (very high bond) tape. It provides extra stability between pivoting brackets or other situations where it is desirable to stiffen or support the back of a panel. Square tube mount or wire conduit
These strong and stiff but still lightweight tubes made in anodized aluminum are useful for mounting panels on fabric dodgers and biminis. Mount them on the back of the solar panels with 3M VHB™ (very high bond) tape. Then cut the tubes to a length so you can attach the ends to desired bimini/dodger frame loops. Use removable bolts or screws if you plan to take down the panels between cruises. The tubes have rounded corners to minimize chafing against fabric and come with two black nylon caps so that water and dirt can be kept out of the interior. Other mounting applications include extending support on arches or other structures. The tubes are also useful as UV- and fireproof conduits protecting wires from chafe or catching something. 3M VHB Mounting Tape type 5952
Incredibly strong double sided bonding tape, used in marine, automotive and aeronautical industry for demanding assembly tasks. The only drawback is that it is very difficult to take apart parts or remove the tape after the intial 24 hour period required for maximum strength! Type 5952 is designed for wet outdoor use and retains its adherence to solar panels even as they get very hot in the sun. Use a single strip for 3/4" crossbar rails and square tubes, two parallel strips for the 1 1/2" brackets. Splash-proof 2-pin connector kit
Useful for making removable connections in places where there can be moderate (salt)water spray, like under a panel mounted on a dodger. It is not submersible and should not be used where there can be standing water or heavy flooding. Instructions for assembly are included. Accepts up to AWG 12 (4 mm2) wire and 10A of current.
